بِي رَغْبَةٌ

بِي رَغْبَةٌ أَنْ أَسْتَعِيدَ مَا تَلَاشَى

عَلَى أَسْوَارِ الأُمْنِيَاتِ،

وَأَنْ أَنْزَلِقَ عَلَى كُفُوفِ الْأَبَدِيَّةِ كَرَاقِصَةِ “بَاليه”

وأُثَبِّتَ قَصَائِدِي فِي سَمَاءِ الْحَقِيقَةِ

وَأَحْمِلَ فِي ذَاكِرَتِي كَرَارِيسَ الطُّفُولَةِ

وأسْتَرِدَّ طَائِرَاتِي الوَرَقِيَّةَ

مِنْ دَفَاتِرِ الْأَنَاشِيدِ الْقَدِيمَةِ.

And to glide on the rooftops of eternity like a ballet dancer

And to anchor my poems in the sky of truth

And to carry in my memory the notebooks of my childhood

And to reclaim my paper airplanes from the archives of old anthems.
