في عملٍ فني وأدبي استثنائي، جمع الفنان التشكيلي عمر بدور أكثر من خمسين قصيدة في ديوانه طوفان، حيث كانت كل قصيدة انعكاسًا لإحدى لوحاته التي رسمها تجسيدًا لغزة وفلسطين ومعاناة الشعب الفلسطيني.

وقد كان لي، تغريد بو مرعي، شرف ترجمة هذا العمل الإبداعي إلى اللغة الإنجليزية، ليس فقط كجهدٍ أدبي، بل كصوتٍ يضاف إلى موجة التنديد العالمي بما يتعرض له الشعب الفلسطيني من ظلمٍ ومعاناة. إن هذه الترجمة ليست مجرد نقلٍ لغوي، بل هي جسرٌ بين الثقافات، يحمل وجع فلسطين إلى العالم، ويدعو الإنسانية إلى الإصغاء لصرخة الأرض والإنسان.

In an exceptional artistic and literary endeavor, visual artist Omar Baddour has compiled more than fifty poems in his poetry collection Tufan, with each poem reflecting one of his paintings—paintings that vividly depict Gaza, Palestine, and the suffering of the Palestinian people.

I, Taghrid Bou Merhi, had the honor of translating this creative work into English—not merely as a literary effort, but as a voice added to the global outcry against the oppression and suffering endured by the Palestinian people. This translation is more than just a linguistic bridge; it is a means of carrying Palestine’s pain to the world, urging humanity to listen to the cries of the land and its people.

Each poem in this collection is a heartbeat of Palestine, a true documentation of pain and resilience, where art and words intertwine to immortalize both tragedy and heroism.
